New Noise Canceling Headphones

My wife had the idea to gift me a new set of headphones this Christmas season. To give a little background, the Bose QC15 was last headset I bought for myself was a little over 7 years ago. The QC15 headset made long study sessions in the library more tolerable. They served me well, despite the padded ear-cups wearing out (requiring a third-party replacement purchase). However, frequently replacing the AAA battery to power the set and feedback static from an aging 3.5mm connector really made the QC15 feel outdated.

Sony WH-1000XM3

Although the model name isn’t the easiest to remember, it’s clear after reading and listening to a few top tech reviewers (Techradar, Unboxed, and MKBHD) that the WH-1000XM3 is the best Bluetooth noise canceling headset on the market. After trying them out over a range of music genres, this headset is remarkable. Excellent sound and build quality, balanced warm sound profile, and a reliable bluetooth connection make them a clear winner.

I plan on using these for traveling, as well as study sessions. This will allow my wife to watch TV or talk on the phone without disturbing me. The lighter silver color also looks really awesome. Thanks wifey!
