The famous Nike slogan, “Just Do It” resonates with me. It likely resonates with many other people, which explains how the slogan has become known worldwide. Apparently coined in 1988, this simple phrase is still inspirational. I find myself thinking of so many different projects, hobbies, and things to do, yet I simultaneously find myself not actually doing those things I’ve dreamed up. It’s quite easy to focus all energy into one or two important areas of our life (e.g. work and family). But I also argue that our hobbies are critically important to the concept of who we are as individuals. So long as the hobby does not encroach on other important duties, I think having healthy hobbies are what make us human!
